Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a strobo video image based on an input video signal by storing picture information of an input video signal into plural memories for each field and synthesizing and outputting readout outputs of each memory. CONSTITUTION:A video signal 4 fed to a video signal output terminal 3 is fed to an adder 32 via an A/D converter 31 from an input terminal 8 of a strobo video image generator 1. On the other hand, a digital video signal 4a is stored in field memories FM1-FMn for each field in response to a phase signal phiw from a timing generator 33. In switching a switch to the readout mode, picture information in the memories FM1-FMn is read and weighted by multipliers A1-An and added with a present video signal 4a by an adder 32 and outputted from an output terminal 36 as a strobo video signal 35 via a D/A converter 34.
