Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the vertical resolution, by delaying an intermittent video signal obtained from a charge transfer element by different times to obtain two or more delayed video signals and synthesizing these signals and the intermittent video signal by addition and switching. CONSTITUTION:Charge stored in a charge transfer element group 1 is transferred to a charge transfer 2 and is stored in the vertical blanking time. Charge is transferred from the element group 2 to a register part 3 once in two horizontal periods in the horizontal blanking time. The transfer charge signal is transferred to register parts 3, 7, and 11 through read parts 4, 9, and 12 and write parts 6 and 8 within one horizontal period, and signals delayed more than those obtained in preceding terminals by one horizontal period are obtained in output terminals 5, 9, and 13. Signals from terminals 5 and 13 are added in a mixer 19, and an output signal 24 and a signal 25 from the terminal 9 are inputted to a switch 20. The switch 20 is switched in the horizontal blanking time at every one horizontal period, and the signal from the switch 20 passes through an LPF21 and an output video amplifer 22 and is transmitted from an output terminal 23 as a video signal where intermittent signals are continuous.
