Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an index signal without cross modulation, by scanning with an achromatic color picture signal beam in the first one horizontal scanning period and by using the index signal, which is obtained by this scanning, as the index signal in following (n-1) horizontal scanning periods. CONSTITUTION:Switches 20 and 21 are connected to the (a) terminal side in the first one horizontal scanning period out of n-number horizontal scanning periods. The index signal scanned by the achromatic color picture signal beam dependent upon luminance signal EY(t) is applied to the first delay circuit 24 of the delay time obtained by subtracting the delay time of the index signal processing circuit from one horizontal period and is output to output terminal P0 after a prescribed time. Here, change-over switches 20 and 21 are connected to the (b) terminal side, and the output of the first delay circuit 24 is output through the second delay circuit 25 of the delay time equal to the delay time of the index signal processing circuit and the first delay circuit 24. This loop requires just one horizontal period, and this signal is used as the index signal to switch color signal change-over switch 19 at a correct timing.
