Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the fatigue withstandability considerably by impregnating an FRP member with a compound where an epoxy-vinyl ester resin having specific structure is dissolved in a polymeric vinyl monomer then performing the hardening molding. CONSTITUTION:Bisphenol type epoxy resin mixed or a drain with said resin and a novolak type epoxy resin where non-saturable monobasic acid is additionally reacted with approximately equivalent rate with the epoxy radical in the epoxy resin where the average epoxy equivalent is approximately in the range of 250-450 is employed as an epoxy vinyl ester resin. The resin compound produced by dissolving said resin in a polymeric vinyl monomer is used to impregnate at least one kind of FRP member selected from a glass fiber, carbon fiber and an aromatic polyamid fiber, then it is hardened and molded to produce a desired leaf spring.
