Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure accurate detection of radiation energy level in an extremely wide range by adjusting the radiation energy of infrared rays to match the characteristics of a detector. CONSTITUTION:Infrared rays are focused by an optical system 1 and projected into a detector 2 through a damper 3. At this point, a body 3a is rotated fast to replace filters 4-7. Consequently, the detector 2 provides four outputs correspondings to the filters 4-7 varied in the attenation factor. After the A/D conversion, the outputs are fed to a discrimination circuit 12 which removes the ones exceeding a certain level and very low in the level and only the outputs obtained corresponding to proper characteristics of the detector 2 are picked out and transmitted to an arithmetic circuit 13. The circuit 13 computes the temperature of an object selecting a specific expression corresponding to the respective outputs. The results are indicated 10.
