Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a useful friction material with high shudder characteristic without any rough disengagement of a clutch by selecting the hardness of the inner circumference of a dry clutch facing for a car to be higher than the outer circumference.
CONSTITUTION: For obtaining friction material, a semimanufacture wound up by the well-known method is put into a metal mold, molded under pressure and heat, and then giben a heat treatement and a finishing work.
