Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the easy production of a molded object having a complicated embossing shape, by a method wherein a sheet-making object, which is obtained by means of a sheet-making mold having a porous embossed surface, is preheated, and is further embossed by means of a cold press mold having a deeper embossing depth than that of the paper-making mold and having a surface curved in a small curvature radius.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet-making mold 1 having an embossed porous wall 2 is immersed in a slurry liquid 3 containing thermoplastic resin tows, cellulose filament fibers, and stiff hollow substance, and sheet-making object 4 accumulates and is formed on a paper-making mold (2) surface through the suction. The sheet-making mold 1 is then pulled up from the slurry liquid, and the sheet-making object 4 is unloaded from the mold to obtain a unprocessed raw material. After the unprocessed raw material is dried, it is placed in a blast oven 5 to be preheated under the temperature higher than a melting point of thermoplastic resin. Instantly, the unprocessed raw material is fed to a cold press mold 7 which has a deeper embossing depth than that of the sheet-making mold 1 and/or has a part curved in a small curvature radius, and is embossed. The unprocessed raw material is formed into an embossed shape which is roughly similar to and corresponding to a final molded object, and this permits and easy press molding which is conducted in a deep- reducing ratio.
