Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a molded article having clear beautiful fine patterns on the surface, by pressing a transfer carrier (paper) to the surface to be patterned of a partly molded article, and by removing the carrier.
CONSTITUTION: The transfer paper 3 patterned by gravure printing is formed into a bag with the patterns outside according to the shape of the bathtub. The hot male mold 1 is covered with the SMC material 4 made of an FRP necessary for forming the base layer 4, and the female mold 2 is placed on the material 4 and pressed. The molds are then opened to take out the semicured article, and the paper 3 is placed on the male mold 1 to put the article on the paper 3. The female mold 2 is then placed and heated to cure the article, which is taken out to remove the paper 3. The patterns 3a of the paper 3 are transferred to the bathtub surface clearly.
