Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a mold body alone to be heated, to reduce the heated volume, to rise termperature quickly, to improve the productivity by interposing a heat- insulating plate between the mold body and a mold plate.
CONSTITUTION: A compression forming metal mold is composed by a method wherein a fixing side adapter plate 9 with a fixing side mold plate 1 is arranged upwards, a receiving plate 7 is provided on a movable side mold plate 3 through a spacer block 8 and a movable side mold plate 3 is provided on this receiving plate 7. The mold body 5 consits of a male mold 4 and a female mold 2 forming a cavity 11 and the heat insulating plate 6 is arranged on the external circumference surface of the male mold 4 and the female mold 2. The male mold 4 is fixed to the fixing side mold plate 1 through the heat insulating plate 6 and the female mold 2 is fixed to the movable mold plate 3 through the heat insulating plate 6. Thus, the mold body alone is heated and so temperature is distributed uniformly, and molded goods are improved in strength and precision.
