Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive to automate a navigation control for an underwater steaming body equipped with left and right propellers and a plurality of thrusters, by a method wherein the steaming body is maneuvered by a combined mechanism of various apparatuses such as setters of velocity, course and depth through which an operator inputs respective set points desired, a position detector and the like.
CONSTITUTION: Outputs signals generated from a speed setter 500, the position detector 504, a course setter 501 and a direction finder 505 are fed into the first and second adders 516, 520 after being processed in a predetermined manner, and the driving of the left propeller 16 and that of the right propeller 13 are controlled respectively by output signals of the adders. In addition, the output signals generated from the position detector 504, the cource setter 501 and the direction finder 505 are also fed into the third adder 524 after being processed in a predetermined manner, whereby the driving of a bow thruster 19 is controlled. Further, the driving of a stern thruster 22 is controlled by signals which are generated from the direction finder and the course setter 501 and are processed in a predetermined manner. On the other hand, the driving of a vertical thruster 25 is controlled by signals fed from a depth setter 502 and a depth meter 503.
