Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve efficiencies of charging of an intake air and generating power by disposing a charing chamber of a large capacity at the upstream side from a throttle valve and a check valve which restricts an open air to run downstream only.
CONSTITUTION: A charging chamber 11 of a large capacity is disposed in a suction passage 3 laid between an air cleaner 13 and a throttle valve 7. A check valve 12 is placed between the charging chamber 11 and the air cleaner 13, restricting an open air to run downstream only. After a suction valve 5 is closed, an inflow is accumulated in the suction passage 3 and the charging chamber 11 and trapped therein in the form of a compressed air by the check valve 12. Immediately after the suction valve 5 is opened, the compressed air is successively rushed into a combustion chamber 2. A charging efficiency is thereby improved as well as an efficiency of power generation and a responsibility to a rapid acceleration is satisfactorily obtained.
