Abstract
PURPOSE:To fine the secondary grain sizes of a product steel plate and obtain a directional silicon steel plate of low watt loss by subjecting a blank steel plate limited of contents of Si, C and S, Se to cold rolling including intermediate anneal- ing and specifying the finish cold rolling conditions. CONSTITUTION:A blank silicon steel plate contg. 2.0-4.0wt% Si, 0.02-0.08% C, 0.010-0.040% in total of at least one of S, Se, and if necessary 0.010-0.040% acid soluble Al, 0.004-0.020% N, and <=0.10% Sb is produced. This blank material is subjected to primary cold rolling then to intermediate annealing followed by the rolling at >=50% final cold rolling draft and with the dull rolls of 0.2-2mu roll surface roughness while at least 30% thereof is occupied. The final pass is accomplished by smooth rolls. One time of preheating or intermediate preheating is added during rolling with the dull rolls, and the steel plate temp. during final rolling is maintained in a 50-400 deg.C range.
