Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the inclusions in molten steel down to desired amts. by stirring the molten steel added with desired alloy elements under vacuum degassing treatment for the time expressed by the specific equation and at prescribed degrees of vacuum. CONSTITUTION:Desired alloy elements are added in the form of, for example, Fe- Si, Fe-Mn, Al, to molten steel. Next, the molten steel added with the alloy elements is put into a ladle, and this ladle is moved to a vacuum degassing treatment position. Thence, in a vacuum degassing vessel, it is kept at 10-30mm.Hg degrees of vacuum and the molten steel is stirred and oscillated for the time t1 minute expressed by the equation.
