Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a change on standing of a thermal head, in a comb like electrode conductor of the thermal head, by forming a free end part of the conductor protruded from a resistor so as to enlarge a geometrical size thereof to reduce heat accumulation of the free end part. CONSTITUTION:Comb like electric conductors 2, 20 are formed on an insulative base plate 1 and a strip like resistor 3 and an abrasion resistant layer 4 are formed thereon. Then, a free end part 2b of the conductor formed to a direction of an arrow A which is a moving direction of a recording paper 5 is formed in such a manner that a width or a length thereof is made equal to or larger than that of the conductor 2 which constitutes a drawing part of an outer terminal. Therefore, if an adhesion substance 6 is generated on the abrasion resistant layer 4 in keeping with recording heat of the free end part 2b due to heat generation of the resistor is effectively dissipated to the insulative base plate 1 and, therefore, melting or crack is not generated in the abrasion resistant layer 4 and the resistor 3.
