Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the saving of costly conducting materials and the simplification of production by removing the conducting layer from the paper comprising forming the conducting layer and conductive heat-sensitive coloring layer on base paper as well as to make coloring densities even by approaching a discrete electrode and a common electrode always at a fixed distance.
CONSTITUTION: Paper 10 formed with a heat sensitive coloring layer 12 which has moderate conductivity by mixing a suitable amount of conducting material onto base paper 11 is used. A discrete electrode 13 and a common electrode 14 are disposed on such paper 10 and a power supply 15 is connected to supply current in the route 16 of the power source 15 → discrete electrode 13 → conductive heat sensitive colong layer 12 → common electrode 14 → power source 15, thereby causing coloring to be effected near the discrete electrode 13 by Joule heat.
