Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the heat response thereof and obtain the thick film type heat pen capable of a high speed rrecording with a low electric power consumption by a method wherein a pair of heating electric power feeding conductors arranged to a heating resistant body provided on an insulating base plate is connected to the resistant body at a side far from the base plate. CONSTITUTION:The heating resistant body 13 consisting of ruthenium oxide or the like and having a predetermined pattern, is formed on the surface of the insulating base plate 11 of alumina or the like by a thick film method, subsequently, a pair of electric power feeding conductors 12 are connected thereto so as to cover a part of the outer surfaces of the both ends of the heating resistant body 13 (or so as to oppose at a place far from the surface of the base plate 11) and an antiabrasion layer 14 made of glass is provided thereon to form the heat pen. Consequently, when a predetermined voltage is impressed between the conductors 12, an electric current having such distribution as shown by an arrow sign B is flowed in the heating resistant body 13 and a heat concentrating source is generated at a place near a recording medium, therefore, the thermal efficiency, the heat responding properties and the like of the heat pen may be improved remarkably.
