Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain CO2 gas of high purity and a calcined material of high grade, by feeding a high-temperature combustion gas prepared by burning and gasifying a solid fuel on the outside of a reaction furnace thereto, and decomposing limestone, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A solid fuel is fed from a feed port 14 into a combustion furnace 13, burned and gasified by oxygen with a nitrogen content ≤20% fed from feed ports 15 and 15', and dust is removed from the gas in a connecting duct. The gas is then passed through a gas dispersing plate 4 and fed into the reaction furnace 1. On the other hand, granular limestone, or dolomite is fed from a feed port 2 into the reaction furnace 1, and a fluidized bed 3 is formed by a gas, produced in the reaction furnace 1, and fed from a feed port 12. O2 gas is simultaneously fed from a feed port 5 to burn the high-temperature combustion gas fed from the dispersing plate 4 completely and decompose the limestone, etc. into a calcined material and CO2 gas. The resultant calcined material is then discharged from a discharge port 6. On the other hand, the CO2 gas is passed through a dust removing apparatus 7 and cooler 8 to give a CO2 gas with a CO2 concentration ≥75%. The resultant gas is partially passed through a booster 10 and preheater 11 and fed to the reaction furnace 1, and most of the gas is passed through a low temperature separating apparatus 9 and recovered.
