Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent clinker troubles even with a small amount of steam, to reduce the waste water, and to improve the conversion of coal into gases, by separating CO2 from the formed gases, and by recycling the CO2 through the gasifier.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of coal and heavy oils is gasified with steam and oxygen in the fluidized bed of a gasifier, and the carbon dioxide gas in the formed gases is separated and recycled through the gasifier to give the molar ratio of the CO2 to steam in the feed of 0.05W1.0:1.
