Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a high strength steel plate having a low yield ratio and excellent in the balancing between strength and elongation, and elongating property for flanging, by preparing the steel so as to contain specified proportions of C, Mn, Si and S, and to comprise three-phase polygonal ferrite, bainite and martensite with specified area factors.
CONSTITUTION: The alloy contains 0.01W0.2% of C, 0.6W2.5% of Mn, 0.02W 1.5% of Si and 0.02% or less of S, and the structure thereof comprises three phases, i.e. polygonal ferrite, bainite and martensite with the area factors of the bainite and the martensite being 5W70% and 1W20% respectively. If desired, one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Cr (0.1W1.5%), Cu (0.1W0.6%), Ni (0.1W1%), and B (0.005W0.1%) and in addition thereto one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Nb (0.01W0.1%), V (0.02W0.2%), Ti (0.01W0.1%) and Zr (0.02W0.2%) can be added.
