Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a watch with a reduced thickness by a method wherein some parts of a coil wire wound magnetic core is positioned between a base plate and a stator, and the magnetic core and the stator are located on a virtually same section. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet provided rotor 6, a stator 2, a coil wire 9 wound magnetic core 3, and a base plate 1 constitute a stepping motor. The magnetic core 3 will be rectangular nar with some parts made flat. The magnetic core 3 is set on the base plate 1, and the stator 2 is placed on the base plate 1 and then fixed thereto with two screws 5 and 11. This causes the flattened parts of the magnetic core 3 to superficially contact the stator 2 and to be caught between the base plate 1 and the stator 2 whereby the magnetic core 3 is kept from moving out of position.
