Abstract
The DC motor has a metallic armature (1) around which is wound an induction winding (2). Conductors connect the winding to the DC power source. The metallic armature (1) has the form of an open frame with an airgap. A magnetic material core (3) is designed to slide up and down within the airgap of the frame. The core (3) is hinged on a crank (6) which rotates around an axis perpendicular to the sliding direction of the core (3). One end of the crank is fitted to a flywheel (9). The other end of the crank has a cam (13) on it which controls a switch (10) connected in series with the supply source and one of the induction windings conductors.
