Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten the time required for the electrolytic treatment of an aluminum plate in an aqueous solution containing a metal salt by applying DC voltage of PR wave form in which the polarity of current is periodically changed and the negative voltage is higher than the positive.
CONSTITUTION: A 1mm-thick aluminum plate of a purity (by JIS-Al050P) is deoiled by an usual pretreatment method and then subjected to an anodizing treatment in a 40g/l phosphoric acid aqueous solution kept at 30°C and using carbon as a counter electrode while applying a voltage of DC 8V for 15min. Afterwards, the aluminum plate so treated is subjected to an electrolytic treatment in an electrolyte composed of 45g/l of nickel acetate and 45g/l of boric acid, with a pH of 6.4, or of 45g/l of nickel sulfate and 45g/l of boric acid, with a pH of 4.3, kept at 25°C. The power source used is a voltage of PR wave form.
