Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate a current of almost a constant value and to facilitate current control, by performing pretreatment for applying specific voltage to the skin for a specific time in order to allow the constant current to the skin by a constant voltage apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A timer mechanism 3 is connected to a constant voltage apparatus 1 and a millimeter 2 and measures a time (1-60sec) applying voltage of 5-20V in a pretreatment stage. After the elapse of a predetermined time, a signal dropping voltage to 0-5V is automatically sent to the constant voltage apparatus 1 which in turn changes over voltage to current supply voltage on the basis of said signal. A usual circuit is used after the positive pole side thereof is connected to the positive electrode E1 of iontophoresis and the negative pole side thereof is connected to the negative electrode E2 of said iontophoresis. The voltage applied in pretreatment is pref. 9-15V and the application time thereof is pref. 1-15sec and becomes short of course as the voltage to be applied becomes high. The voltage applied after the finish of pretreatment is 0-5V, pref., 2-3V and a current to be supplied is within a range of 0.1-1mA/cm<2>, pref., 0.3-0.5mA/cm<2>.
