Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a solar energy collector using an easily producible heat pipe having a simple structure in which flow paths are formed in a flat and capillaceous plate, housed in an enclosed container, and a heat medium is confined therein.
CONSTITUTION: A flat and capillaceous plate 14 consisting of a continuously cellular foam, etc., is housed in a flattened container 13, in which steam flow path 15 is formed by providing grooves in the lower side of the flat and capillaceous plate 14 and filled with a heat medium 5. The upside of the flat and capillaceous plate 14 is closely adhered to the upper plate of the container 13, a transparent cover 2 is attached to the upside of the container 13, and the other peripheral part is surrounded by a heat insulator 4. THe container 13 is set by inclining it in such a way as to keep a tank 3 side end portion to be heated high, a team intake port 12 is connected to the steam flow path 15 through a communication hole 16 at the high-level end portion, and the opening 20 of a condensate return pipe 18 is provided in contact with the upside of the flat and capillaceous plate 14.
