Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable smooth control from light-load to heavy-load condition by setting the inclining angle of inlet guide vanes so as to adjust to the signals detected on the temperature of air, passing through the inlet guide vanes, and the rotating speed and the delivery pressure of a compressor.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure coefficient of a cmpressor 1 is determined by three factors: air suction temperature, the pressure ratio between compressor delivery pressure and atmosphereic pressure, and compressor revolutions. Therefore, as is shown in the drawing, the temperature of air 5 passing through guide vanes 2 is detected by a temperature detector 10, and the rotating speed and the delivery pressure of the compressor 1 are detected by a speed detector 11 and a pressure detector 12, respectively. These detected signals are input into a control device 13 to calculate the pressure coefficient and this calculated value is used to set the inclining angle θG of the guige vanes 2, thus smooth control from light-load to heavy-load condition is attained.
