Abstract

PURPOSE: To hold the discharge pressure approx. constant at all times by controlling automatically the number of revolutions of a rotation driver in compliance with change of the suction gas in its temperature or pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor 3 and a pressure sensor 5 sense off the changes T1 and P1 of temperature and pressure, respectively, of the suction gas of a turbo compressor 1 to be driven by a rotation driver 2. A calculator 5 calculates the number of revolutions to be expressed as N=A0T1-B0P1+C0, where A0, B0 and C0 are constants, and a regulator 6 compares the output signal of this calculator 5 with the signal from a number-of-revolutions sensor 7. A command about regulation of the number of revolutions is then given to a speed governer 8. Accordingly, the discharge pressure of the compressor can be held constant at all times regardless of any change in conditions of the suction gas.
