Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the melt sticking resistance of a product electrical contact material by using a specified amount of Sn, etc. and In as solute alloy elements for oxide when an Ag-oxide electrical contact material is manufactured.
CONSTITUTION: By adding 6W15% mixtue consisting of >70% Sn and ≤30% one or more among Zn, Sb, Pb and Bi, and ≥2% In to Ag, an Ag alloy contg. at least 4.2W5% Sn, etc. and 2W8% In is manufactured. This alloy is rolled and forged to a sheet, and it is heated in an oxygen atmosphere to internally oxidize Sn, In, etc. Thus, an Ag-oxide electrical contact material is manufactured. Harmful Cd is not contained as oxide unlike a conventional material, and this contact material has superior melt sticking resistance.
