Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable detection and prediction of an attitude direction of an excavator, by a method wherein a target device, provided with a dispersion plate, a camera, and a controlling mechanism, is mounted in a shield excavotor to detect a deflection amount of a laser irradiation point followed by the movement of the dispersion plate. CONSTITUTION:A target device, consisting of a dispersion plate and a camera controller, is mounted in a shield excavator, and is irradiated with ray of light of laser. In case the irradiation point position is changed by a given distance L, a deflection amount of a laser irradiation position on the dispersion plate is detected by processing a signal from said controller to detect the attitude direction of the excavator. For example, a target device 3 is mounted in an excavator 1 provided with a cutter head 2, and a reflection plate 4 is irradiated with a light 8 from a laser projector 7. A camera 5 detects each laser irradiation point position at the time when the reflection plate 4 is moved by a given distance L by means of a motor 16 and moving mechanisms 18 and 19, and the deflection amount is found through the memory processing of the signal. This performs the detection and prediction of the attitude direction of the excavator.
