Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to aim at a target body quickly and easily by providing an aiming device with a means for reading optional coordinates on a screen and a means for detecting the angle of the collimation axis of an image pickup device. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with light pen position detector 12 which outputs the deviation of a position, indicated with light pen 11, from the center of the screen and angle detector 13 which detects the angle of the collimation axis of image pickup device 1. To aim at a moving target body, the target body is indicated with light pen 11 and when the target enters automatically into the gate fixed in the center of the screen, the extraction of a target signal is confirmed and switch 6 is changed over to enable automatic tracking.
