Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a regulated power source circuit with the low power consumption, by securing the constant voltage for the circuit after lowering the battery voltage via a pair of capacitors which are controlled for their states of series connection via a switching MISFET. CONSTITUTION:When switching MISFETQ1 and Q3 of a voltage reduction circuit 1 are turned on, capacitors C1 and C2 are connected in series to a battery power source Vss of lithium cell, etc. to be charged and controlled by different timing pulses. Then switching MISFETQ2 and Q4 which are not turned on simultaneously with the FETQ1 and thus free from the increase of the power loss are turned on. The capacitors C1 and C2 are connected in series with no intrevention of the source Vss to be discharged. The capacitance of these capacitors is set equal to each other, and thus the output voltage of the circuit 1 is reduced down almost to a half of the voltage of the source Vss and then turned into a constant level by a voltage regulating circuit 2 containing a reference voltage circuit 21, a differential amplifying circuit 20, etc. In such way, a regulated power source circuit with the low power consumption is obtained to be suited best to an electronic watch, etc.
