Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the information necessary and sufficient for discrimination of waverforms with a simple constitution, by detecting the state of each of the increase, decrease and balance signals and storing a signal waveform pattern only when the state varies. CONSTITUTION:The information of detection produced by photodetectors dR1 of a traffic flow measuring camera 1, etc. is processed by a CPU8 via a multiplexer 6 of a processor 2, a A/D converter 8, etc. Then the decision is carried out for the deviation of the detection information of this time to the preceding reference information which are sampled via areas M1 of a data memory 9, and then this deviation is compared with the prescribed reference amount. Thus only the information necessary and sufficient for discrimination of waverforms can be secured with a simple constitution to prevent the unnecessary increase of the memory capacity.
