Abstract
PURPOSE:The raw material loader for a vertical lime furnace is composed of a rotatory hopper and a revolving chute provided with two chutes on the inner side and the outer one, thus ensuring uniform dispersion and loading of limestones and solid fuel all over the cross section of the furnce. CONSTITUTION:Hoppers for limestone and solid fuel such as coke are set on the top of the vertical furnace and the limestone and solid fuel are weighed with the conveyor scales by necessary amounts, then fed into the rotatory hopper 25. Beneath the hopper 25, is provided the revolving chute 45 equipped with the outer chute 48 and the inner chute 50. The rotatory hopper is made to rotate clockwise to dump the raw materials such as limestone or coke through outlet 28 into the outer chute 48 in the revolving chute 45, which revolves on the outer region in the furnace to scatter the raw materials. When the rotatory hopper 25 is made to rotate anticlockwise, the revolving chute 45 revolved by about 180 deg.C without feeding raw materials and the outlet 28 is connected to the inlet of the inner chute 50. Thus, the raw materials such as limestone and coke are scattered on the inner region in the furnace.
