Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the collosion of a suction ladder with a lower bed hard ground, by a method wherein an acoustic sounding apparatus and suction ladder angle oscillator are mounted in a dredger so as to always monitor a thickness of a sludge bed.
CONSTITUTION: After a first operation unit 4 operates based on inputs from an accoustic sounding apparatus 11, a suction ladder angle oscillator 12, and a speedometer, a thickness of a sludge bed 9, an upheaval angle θ of a lower bed hard ground 10, a depth of a suction mouth 2b, a horizontal distance between a sounding sensor 11a and the suction mouth 2b, and the relative height of the suction mouth 2b to the lower bed hard ground 10 are outputted. The outputs are inputted to a second operation unit 5. A winding capacity of a suction ladder winch 14, which is outputted from a memory unit 7, is added to the results of the second operation unit 5 to hoist the suction ladder 2 according to the hoisting speed and the hoist starting time of the winch 14.
