Abstract

PURPOSE: A monomer capable of ion exchange is grafted onto the surface of a porous polysulfon membrane to produce the titled membrane having low membrane resistance and high resistance to mineral acids and showing little dimensional change.

The thickness of the layer of the grafted polymer is preferably more than 1,000Å.
