Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a laminate excellent in dimensional stability and enhanced in electrical insulating resistance and bending strength, by a method wherein a glass fabric is impregnated with a solution of a coupling agent, while the fabric in the wetted condition is then impregnated with a resin for lamination, and after drying the solution and the resin to obtain a prepreg, the prepregs are lamination molded.
CONSTITUTION: The glass (non-woven) fabric consisting of glass fibers is impregnated with the solution of the coupling agent such as glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, and the pick-up amount is adjusted preferably in the range of 0.01W2.5wt%. The fabric in the wetted condition is impregnated with the resin for lamination such as an epoxy resin, a phenolic resin or the like, followed by drying to obtain the prepreg having a predetermined resin content. A stack of a predetermined number of the thus produced prepregs is held between metallic plates for mold, and is limination-molded by applying a pressure while heating (e.g., 150°C, 100kg/cm2, 60min).
