Abstract
PURPOSE: To easily manufacture a molding product which is free of pores and crucks and also good in mechanical and electric properties and heat resistance by a method in which a specific resin mixture is impregnated into fiber-reinforced material inside molds and then cured by heating under a pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A fiber-reinforced material 2 of a mat, cloth, or other form is cut into a proper size in a necessary number enough to keep a proper fiber content, the materials 2 are placed laminarly inside molds 1, and then the molds 1 are vertically erected in such a way as to make the direction of laminated layer horizontal. Then, the inside of the molds 1 is evacuated, a mixture of a multifunctional isocyanate and a multifunctional epoxide, together with a curing catalyst, is impregnated into the fiber-reinforced materials 2 from the bottom of the molds 1, and the resin mixture impregnated is cured by heating under a pressure. Thus, pores in the fiber-reinforced materials 2 are eliminated by compression, dissolution, etc., and also the delamination of the fiber-reinforced materials 2 is prevented even when shrinkage takes place at the time of curing.
