Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the productivity of a rotary electric machine by providing a coil pressing unit contacted with the end of a stator coil with the inner surface of an end bracket and providing an adhesive layer on the outermost periphery of the conductor of a stator coil, thereby eliminating the coil shaping step and varnish impregnation step. CONSTITUTION:A coil pressing unit 12 made of insulator is so mounted as to be disposed between end brackets 9, 10 and stator coil ends 7, 8 on the inner surfaces of the end brackets 9, 10. A stator coil 6 is formed by winding conductor 15 having adhesive layer 17 on the outermost periphery. In this manner, the stator coil ends 7, 8 can be simultaneously shaped when the coil ends 9, 10 and clamped with clamping screws 13, and the axial size can be shortened. Further, the stator coil 6 is energized to integrally cure the layer 17, and accordingly the varnish impregnation step can be eliminated.
