Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to prolong the life of an antenna driving mechanism part by perfoming monopulse tracking intermittently. CONSTITUTION:A tracking error voltage VAZ from a tracking receiver is supplied to a logical circuit 4 through a DC amplifier 1, an absolute-value circuit 2, and a voltage comparator 3. The logical judgements of the logical circuit 4 are as follows: (1) When a continuous/intermittent mode switch 6 is in continuous mode, a relay 7 is energized to close a relay contact 9, thereby sending the error voltage VAZ as an output voltage. (2) When the switch 6 is in intermittent mod and the error voltage VAZ is judged to be less than an error set voltage, the contact 9 is opened without energizing the relay 7, stopping tracking operation. (3) When the switch 6 is in intermittent mode and the error voltage VAZ is greater than the error set voltage, monopulse tracking operation is started and tracking operation is carried out for time set by a timer 5, thus acquiring a satellite again.
