Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate power consumption at waiting state, by activating a relay with a callout signal, supplying a power to a power supply holding circuit through a closed relay contact and applying power to the power supply circuit during communication. CONSTITUTION:When a callout signal comes from a communication line, a relay RL1 is activated, a DC loop is formed with a DC loop circuit 1 not requiring the power supply and a contact rl1-1 of the relay RL1 is closed. A contact rl1-2 is closed with the activation of the relay RL1, an AC power supply is supplied to a power supply circuit 3, the power supply is supplied to a CI detecting circuit 2 and a power supply holding circuit 4 to activative a relay in the circuit 4 so that the AC power supply is connected to the circuit 3 while a facsimile device is operated even if the callout signal is interrupted through a closed contact rl2. Since the relay in the power supply hold circuit is restored after the end of operation, the contact rl2 is also restored and the AC power supply is detached from the power supply circuit 3.
