Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption, by turning on the power supply at the primary part in an adaptor unit only when a start signal is supplied. CONSTITUTION:The output of a power supply part 214 is fed to the power supply of a start signal deciding part 211 and the input of a power supply switch circuit 315. At the same time, a power supply line 307 led from the output of the circuit 315 supplies the power to a timing reproducing part 212 and a code detecting part 213. The circuit 315 is turned on when the discriminated result of the start signal is controlled by a line 202 and the start signal is detected. Then ?the power is supplied to the parts 212 and 213. With use of the power supply switch 315 having a simple constitution, the amount of current supplied from a nework controller is cut down to <=1/2.
