Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the size of the regulator small through the omission of the oscillator, by isolating the input and the output through the use of an isolating transfomer and composing a closed loop including photo coupling between a photo transistor (TR) at the primary side and a photo diode at the secondary side, to give oscillating performance. CONSTITUTION:A closed loop including optical coupling is constituted with a photo TR47 controlling on/off of a TR30 which turns on/off a voltage of the primary side while isolating the input and output through the use of an isolation transformer 20, and a photo diode 63 detecting an output voltage at the secondary side and illuminating when this voltage reaches a set voltage. Rapid leading of the output voltage at starting is suppressed with the oscillation due to charge/discharge of a capacitor 46 constituting an integrating circuit, and an output voltage is kept to a set value by controlling the on/off of the primary side voltage through the oscillation due to the charge/discharge of a capacitor 52 of a rectifying and smoothing circuit 50 at the steady state.
