Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a feed containing a fat or oil for animals administrate directly to the animals easily, by emulsifying an animal or vegetable fat or oil in a dispersing medium containing water, and mixing the resultant mixture directly with another raw material for the feed.
CONSTITUTION: An animal or vegetable fat or oil, e.g., soybean oil, is emulsified in a dispersing medium containing water, e.g. water and/or an aqueous solution of a saccharide. In the emulsifying step, an emulsifying agent, e.g. glyerol ester of a fatty acid, various emulsification accelerators or emulsification stabilizers may be used. About 1W50wt% fat or oil emulsified in the dispersing medium containing water is then added to another raw material for a feed and uniformly mixed to give the aimed feed containing fat or oil for animals. The resultant feed containing the fat or oil has well balanced nourishment and good palatability, solubility in water and emulsifiability.
