Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of a steel product well by applying at least one kind of a heterocyclic compound with a specific structure and at least one kind of a metal salt together to a surface of the steel product.
CONSTITUTION: At least one kind of a heterocyclic compound (A) having coordinate bond shown by a formula and at least one kind of a metal salt are applied together to a surface of a steel product in a form of an acidic, a neutral, or a basic non-aqueous solution, aqueous solution or suspension. In this case, a compounding ratio of said compound A (e.g.; 2-thiazolidine-2-thione) against the metal salt (e.g.; zinc borate) is pref. 0.001W1,000 in the wt. ratio. Further, in appling said compound A and the metal salt to the surface of the steel product, temp. of the non- aqueous solution, the aqueous solution or the suspension is pref. 150°C or less. Further, X in the formula is hydroxyl compund, an amine compound, a thiol compound or the like. Moreover, Y consists of C, N, S or a saturated compd. consisting of 2W3 elements and constitutes a fundamental ring. H, O or on alkyl group can be bonded to Y.
