Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a metal such as Zn, Al or a Zn-Al alloy is sprayed on steel or the like to principally prevent the corrosion, the material to be subjected to spraying is directly cooled with water continuously or intermittently. The water includes ordinary water such as tap water or river water, an aqueous soln. prepared by adding a water soluble corrosion inhibitor to ordinary water, and seawater. The reason that a substance used in cooling is restricted to water is that water is relatively inexpensive, easily available, safe, and hygienically harmless. A method of sprinkling tap water, river water or seawater from a hose is applied as the cooling method.
