Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover nickel at high purity and recovery rate by following method in which As, Sb and Bi are removed and successively Fe is removed, after Cu has been recovered from electrolytic solution used in electrolytic refining of Cu, and thereafter Zn is removed from the electrolytic solution by using aliphatic acid phosphoric ester.
CONSTITUTION: A part of electrolytic solution used in electrolytic refining of Cu is extracted, and Cu contained in said solution is crystallized or recovered by electrolysis, and thereafter further electrolysis removes Cu perfectly in the electrolytic solution. Next, after As, Sb and Bi etc. in the solution is removed by electrolysis and the Ni solution is caused to be acid, Fe is removed until Fe concentration of the solution is lowered under 100ppm. Then said solution is kept in weak acid i.e. 0.5W4.5pH, and is solvent-extracted by using aliphatic acid phosphoric ester shown in formula I (X, Y are OH, R-O or R', and R, R' are aliphatic group such as C4W16, both of X, Y are not OH) or its derivatives. Thus high purity nickel may be recovered from the nickel solution obtained by separating and removing Zn into a organic phase.
