Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a heat and to enable an easy and stepless variation of a load from a remote place, by a method wherein a part of a power, used for braking, is regenerated into a power source by means of a simple method. CONSTITUTION:An output shaft 2 of a motor 1 to be tested is connected to an output shaft 4b of a motor with eddy current point through a joint 3. A numeral 4a represents an eddy current joint, 4c an exciting coil, and 4d a driving induction motor of the current joint 4a. The motors 4d and 4 are set at an inequality of NS<NEC, where NS is the synchronizing speed of the driving induction motor 4d, and NEC is the rotative velocity of the output shaft 4b of the motor 4 with eddy current joint. A controller 5 feeds an exciting current to the exciting coil 4c, and the exciting current is adjusted in a stepless manner by means of a variable resistor 6. This permits the control of a large load of the motor to be tested from a no-load condition to a full-load condition simply by controlling a minute power while is the exciting current.
