Abstract

PURPOSE:To maximize the efficiency of torque-current converter by always checking the characteristics during the operation of a motor, and automatically regulating the slip frequency at the optimum value. CONSTITUTION:The output of a torque setting unit 1 is converted into a current command by a torque-current converter 2. The subtraction is made between the current command and the output of a current detector 3, and the result is amplified and controls the output voltage of an inverter. The primary current of the motor is controlled to become a specified constant value depending on the setting of the torque by the action of said current control loop. On the other hand, the output of an integrator 10 is added to the output of a speed sensing circuit 11 as a slip- frequency command, and controls the output frequency of the inverter. An induction motor 17 performs the slip-frequency operation complying with the slip frequency command.
