Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the torque response of an induction machine by applying a slip frequency from a torque current component instruction and actual torque detection signal, thereby suitably setting the frequency. CONSTITUTION:A frequency converter 4 for controlling a voltage and a frequency and an induction machine 5 driven by the converter are provided, the primary current of the machine is divided into torque current component and excitation current component under control, in which case the slip frequency of an induction motor is obtained from the torque instruction signal and the torque detection signal. Thus, an optimum slip frequency is applied without variation in the secondary resistance value of the machine. Accordingly, the prescribed torque response can be obtained always, and no variation in the torque occurs.
