Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably control an induction motor by energizing the motor having shortcircuited secondary conductor from a variable frequency power source controlled in vector in response to the instructed torque value and lowering the component correspondig to the exciting current in a high speed range. CONSTITUTION:The primary coil of a squirrel cage induction motor 10 is energized by a variable frequency power source 60. AC vector control means 100 controls the current value, phase value and frequency of the energizing AC current. Frequency instructing means 120 decides primary frequency from the rotating frequency and the instruction value of slip frequency instructing means 500. Speed controlling means 600 compares the instructing speed with the output of rotating speed detecting means 20 to instruct the amount corresponding to the desired torque. Further, function generators 210, 220 are provided in the control means 100 to set as prescribed, and polyphase AC generator 150 is operated to linearly control it. Further, instructing means 650 for generating a signal which lowers the component corresponding to the exciting current is provided in the high speed range of the motor 10, thereby preventing the unstable control system in the high speed range.
