Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform rapid measurement and eliminate personal difference in measuring method of moisture existing within devices of an air conditioning apparatus, by measuring the dew point of air within the devices. CONSTITUTION:A suction pipe 13 is connected to a pipe 11 projecting from an evaporator 10 of an air conditioning apparatus through a coupling 12. The suction pipe 13 is engaged with a first opening valve 14, a dew point meter 15, a second opening valve 16 and a vacuum gauge 17, and the other end is connected through a coupling 18 to a vacuum pump 19. The second opening valve 16 is opened and the vacuum pump 19 is operated to evacuate the dew point meter 15, and the first opening valve 14 is opened, thereby air in the evaporator 10 and the suction pipe 13 is taken through the suction pipe 13 into the dew point meter 15, and then the first opening valve 14 is closed and washing is effected. In turn, the second opening valve 16 is closed and the first opening valve 14 is opened, thereby air in the evaporator 10 is sucked into the dew point 15 and the dew point is measured and the moisture is calculated.
